We are moving into our fall season now, and yet, there is still plenty of time left for your landscaping projects. At Century Landscaping, we typically work until the ground freezes.
Fall is a great time to renovate an existing landscape. At this time of year we can do the work with minimal disruption to your outdoor living season. Do you have an old concrete patio? Perhaps now is the time to replace it with a new natural brick or stone patio. Is your current outdoor living space to small to accommodate your lifestyle? Perhaps we can add to the space and update it with the addition of a fireplace or fire pit, a built-in grill center or a pergola. We would love to come out and talk with you about any of these improvements. Just see our contact page and send us an email.
Fall is also a great time to install trees and shrubs. Deciduous trees and shrubs can be planted very late into the fall – this is the time of year when they start dormancy for the winter. Evergreen trees cannot be planted as late as deciduous trees. An evergreen tree does not go dormant in winter. Mid October is a good cut-off date for planting evergreens. Evergreens also need to be watered until freeze up. A fall planted tree or shrub will definitely perform better in spring, all season long for that matter, than a spring dug tree or shrub. You will also enjoy the benefits of enjoying your new plants for the whole season. Again, a fall planting renovation will provide you with minimal disruption and a full season of flowering and growth.
